Jenny Greenley: The main character and narrator of the story. She is a normal, nice girl who everyone likes. She is the layout person and the person behing "Ask Annie" on her school newspaper, and when Luke Striker, a famous movie star, is going undercover as Lucas Smith for research for an upcoming movie, she is his tour guide. Her best friend is Trina, and other friends include Geri Lynn and Geri's boyfriend Scott.
Luke Striker: A famous movie star that all girls (except Jenny) are going gaga over, who goes undercover as Lucas Smith and visits Jenny's school, to research for an upcoming movie. Trina is obsessed with him. He later dates Geri Lynn.
Catrina Larsen: Jenny's best friend, aka Trina who lives next door and convinced her to join the school's show choir. Her boyfriend is Steve.
Geri Lynn: Jenny's other friend, who likes her soda flat. She works on the school paper with Jenny and is dating Scott.
Scott Bennett: Geri Lynn's boyfriend, who is also Jenny's friend. Jenny and Scott both like to read science fiction books and debate about them. Editor of the school paper.
Cara Schlosburg: A girl who was bullied by people with the name Cara Cow. People would moo at her as she passed by. With Jenny's help, she becomes more amiable and acceptable to her schoolmates.
Mr Hall: The school's show choir teacher who has hopes in making it big in Broadway.
Betty Ann Mulvaney: A doll belonging to Mrs. Mulvaney, a school teacher. The doll is swiped from her desk by Kurt Schraeder, and later rescued by Jenny and Scott.
