“This whole book was writtne in emails. I really liked it. Mel the main character finds her neighbor face down on the carpet. she must find the closest kin the lady has. it turns out to be a nephew. the nephew was to selfish to come visit or take care of her pets so he had his friend do it. Mel did not know it was not the real nephew and fell in love with a man. that she didnt even know.”

After rescuing her old neighbor after a violent assult, Mel has landed the job of looking after her pets for sometime until her next of kin, and infamous womanizer and photographer, Max Friedlander, comes to pick up the responsibility. Max, however, is unwilling to give up his time with a supermodel to be with his old, but rich aunt. He is willing to send a substitute to take care of things while he's away. The solution, however, brews more trouble than anyone could have imagined.
Unlike Boy Meets Girl, I enjoyed this exchange of emails better. It was humorous, with a funny set of characters (and a certain boss) to weave funny scenarios. I do find the abrupt ending a little annoying, but at the same time, it was a good place to stop. It's a worthy light read. ”
“Quite possibly my favorite Meg Cabot book.”

“Pretty original concept. This is the first book I've ever read in all emails, so it was like going through my inbox. It was a really good thing to read while answering phones at work. :P”
