“I didn't think the psychics or their powers were interesting enough. This may be because she didn't really have them using their powers. It seems like Jayne Ann Krentz doesn't understand the whole purpose of having a character with paranormal powers. She may need to read more comic books. ”

“I enjoy Krentz's Arcane Society series, so I liked White Lies. The paranormal aspects are an interesting twist to the usual "romance novel" genre, and the fact that Krentz's heroines are always fiesty, and independently-minded and smart helps add to the interest as well.

This book is set in present day, and has a fair amount of mystery and excitement surrounding the murder investigation. There's also a complicated family situation that adds to the tension levels and gives the protagonists something to work through.
I liked this. If you're into the paranormal stuff this is a good beach or porch read.
