I am so amazed that this book has not been reprinted all over the place. It was the "dirtiest," most popular book in my high school years, certainly during the mid-60s, when it literally defined what a "dirty," scandalous, fabulously exciting book was all about. Robbins was a master at writing salacious stories, and the sheer "manliness" of them made them queer magnets: they inhabited the more secret wet dreams of many gay men, and of course, huge numbers of women.
