He is the enforcer of his race, condemned with the job of enforce the laws of his race on his fellow demons. Control is what his life is about and he soon finds out that his control is all that keeps the race from falling on their human counterparts. Each year the moon madness is taking its toll on the race that would never harm a single hair on humans except for those two times each year, where they are driven by their instincts to mate.
Trailing the power source of a missing demon Jacob encounters a young woman hanging out her window studying the moon. He is drawn to her and soon starts a conversation, which is totally unheard of, with her. Jacob soon finds out that there is more to the small power package of the human girl and finds himself erringly drawn to her. He doesn’t understand why he is now a pawn of the moon madness, craving this one little slip of a girl and her enormous courage to help the demon race uncover prophecies long forgotten and a secret that will change the demon race forever.
A great first book into a complex story filled with strong male characters and even stronger female characters that will keep you hooked to the pages for a long time. Great read!

“Enough of a plot that you don't feel it's all smut. I bought it.”

This novel doesn't have great depth in its characterization or plot, but I have to give it credit for having plenty of action and steamy sex. Actually, it could have had even more sex and been a great contender for the erotic fiction genre.”

I might not finish it. I decided not to finish it and there is no option for that here. I didn't like it and can't make myself try to get past its issues.”

Jacob and Bella are great characters, and the subplot is fast paced and nicely balanced. Shame the series deteriorates.”
