“First of all, "The Long Walk" is one of the most disturbing stories I have ever read and it has a magnetism that brings me back for another read every few years. The other stories, including "The Running Man" (personal favorite due to the movie starring the governator) are also quite nice in their own ways although some readers may find "Rage" and "Road Work" not quite as gripping as the usual King fare.
Overall, a great collection and I would recommend "The Long Walk" to anyone as it is short and extremely gripping.”
“Gripping and raw! Don't turn off the lights.”

These novels, especially "Rage", aren't P.C., but they are all the more better for it. They also have all the excitement and energy of early King and are lacking all the boring, melodramatic sh*t of late King. "The Long Walk" and "The Running Man" are this collection's best works.--If you get lucky enough to find a copy of "The Bachman Books", don't pass it up.”
