Some classic lines and a good lesson for my children about not just watching the movie made from a book! We had a deal...we would read the book before watching the movie, and they learned that it's best to reference original sources! They much preferred the original ending to the Hollywood-ized...

I had to read it for school. It was the best book i was ever forced to read! It is perfectly packed with action, suspense, and romance. I'd recomend it to everyone. I love the musical version of the book as well!

My mom read this book aloud to my sister and I, and it started out so exciting for the first chapter, then bored us to tears during the next two or three before getting so exciting I couldn't wait for her to finish reading it to us and snuck and read it at night.

This is a story set mainly in England during the French Revolution, and involves the mysterious Scarlet Pimpernel, and unknown british nobleman who risks his own life to save the lives of the French nobles. He is being hunted by Citizen Chauvelin, who employs the help of Marguerite Blakeney, and beautiful french ex-actress married to the wealthy, idiotic Sir Percy.

    I highly recommend it it.

One of my favorite movies - or more of a guilty pleasure - is the BBC film of the same name that combines this book and Orlando by the same author. The book is a fun fantasy and a swashbuckling good time.

I never knew what a fun, action-flick kind of book this was! I enjoyed it a lot. It was nice to see someone on the side of achievers for a change instead of demonizing the rich.
And, God help us, it's exactly what America is headed for.

My favorite book of ALL TIME!!! This has it all, true love, secret identities, and a powerful female character in a time when that was nearly unheard of. It had a comic book-esqe superhero flair in the midst of this historical fiction about the French Revolution.
