“I couldn't put this one down. It is one of Jodi Picoults's best books yet.
If you can stomach the topic which concerns the sexual abuse of a 5 year old boy then you will discover a great read by Picoult!
The main character is the mother, Nina, who is a prosecutor by profession and her main cases involve trying to put away child molesters. She knows how difficult this can be to prosecute let alone convict these child molesters. When her husband and her find out her son is a victim of this same crime that she deals with on a daily basis you find out how this can tear a family apart.
I like how the book shows you the perspective of each character including showing you how Nina the mother and Caleb the father cope. Plus, you go into the mind of Nicholas, the young boy, and how he is dealing with his world during this time.
This is a very taut and suspenseful story with a lot of twists and turns. This is a very good book with a great ending!!!!! ”

If you're a kick ass prosecutor with a lot of experience in trying crimes against children, what would you do if you discover your son to have been raped?
It was definitely an interesting question to explore because as a prosecutor, Nina Frost was only too aware of how much the legal system fails and further traumatizes children. Even if their abuser is convicted, they never go away for very long either.
Definitely worth reading. ”
“This book was really incredible. I found it to be a really interesting viewpoint that doesn't usually get shown. I thought that although it was really unexpected, but that the portrayal of good guy turning bad was important. I think that no one ever explains what made a perfectly normal person suddenly turn into a murderer and that is why this book is so great. It goes into the mind of a so called murderer and shows the reasoning behind every action and reaction for a person. I also learned a bit about both the legal system and DNA. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes mystery.”
