It seems like the Jodie Picoult books are a rave here in Australia ... each day i would see a different friend with a new Picoult book... I'm not really into Pop culture books.. and this cemented my dislike - it just depressed me so much - she was just getting abused for so long and she had no idea and even after she started remembering her life with her famous husband it still took her awhile to leave him - i just feel like the main character should have been stronger...

Not my favorite Picoult book either; it seemed to be less inventive for her and more like a Lifetime movie. If you are a fan of the author I would recommend, but otherwise, try out Sisters Keeper, Nineteen Minutes, etc.
