Cam's love towards Mia is grounded on the fact that she has the ability to leave whenever she pleases, and Mia's love for Cam rests on the idea that Cam has everything; a lovely home in a nice area, a stable/noble job, and he is unattainable. Jamie on the other hand would never have cheated on his wife, he loved her more than he loved his own life. Which made it all the more difficult when Maggie was plagued with terminal cancer.
