“Really just wasn't my thing. As a popcorn movie, this would be fantastic fun. As a book, it's a bit slow, particularly if you don't know a lot about car racing -- the action is hard to follow. It's also rather contrived to get the mono-a-mono duel setup. Executives can challenge each other to death-duels on the open road, but the cars can't have weapons, because apparently that would be uncivilized. This means that the best executives don't have to know anything about economics or consulting, etc., they just have to be great drivers. From there, it was hard for me to stay with the concept. Also a bit too preachy with the constant anti-capitalist sermons.”
