“I've seen a lot of Shakespeare plays, and read bits of the written plays, but this is the first one that I've READ in its in entirety. I really loved a lot of Shakespeare's work, but both in print and on stage, this is not one of my favorites.

“This play deserves more attention than it has received, especially with respect to the way in which the frame play and the play within the play (which is what most think is the whole play) illuminate, in their interplay, the central issues of the play.”
