“Saw the movie at a very young age before reading the book. Movie scared me, so did the book. Classic vampire novel that is the more intense because of the involvement of children. Classic King with flawed characters you love and forgive. Always wanted a sequel. ”

“I must say I was a little hesitant to read "Salem's Lot" for two reasons. One: i heard mixed reviews from both the movies and the book. Two: I didn't really want to make the same mistake I made with "Shutter Island" in which whatever I read in the book, I'll expect to see the same things in the films and not be surprised. However, I am glad I did read it. Stephen King's vampire world is very impressive. When I first began reading it I had no idea in what direction he was taking me on. As I continued it just got more and more interesting and I could wait to see what would happen next. It's a great read and it's been a while since I've seen a horror - vampire story. ”
