“This book is mostly historical in nature but worth the read. It's short and to the point. It was interesting to note that, in the report, the primary reason given for Reagan's success in the election was for "change." Sounds familiar. History repeats itself. Although it's clear that few leaders head the lessons of history in making their present day decisions.”

The "Initial Actions Project" was put together by Richard Wirthlin and David Gergen, divided into four categories: fiscal policy, monetary policy, trade policy, and incomes policy. It could be argued that Reagan faced a much more dire economic situation than Obama. Of course, the way he dealt with it ushered in 25 years of unprecedented prosperity.
Arthur Laffer provides an interesting introduction, including a brief history of economic policy in the USA. It's a short book (about 110 pages) and worth reading if you are a student of the Reagan administration and his economic policies.”
