i really liked this book and the meaning behind it. but i was a little dissapointed with how short it was. she could have put so much more detail and more to some of the main scenes

Didn’t Like It

I enjoyed this book; however, I would not say it was one of my favorite. I thought the character was well-defined; however, I thought the story was slow in some parts. I know it was important to learn the techniques of the clay making, and they were expressed in vivid detail, it seemed to slow the story. I thought the determination and fortitude of Tree-ear was admirable. I thought it would be a book that one would want to read on their own, rather than a read-aloud. The characters were...
