“I guess honestly my only serious complaint about the book is the anti-drug ending and the fact that the romance plot is so focused on (of course I'm les so that kinda changes my POV) aside from that, the other thing I'd like to see is...does Never perhaps turn people who use it slowly fae? That would be an amazing plot to see, I think. To watch through a story as the heroine of the book falls to the dark, beautiful corruption of Never, and becomes a gorgeous unseelie Lady of the Sidhe...it could never be Val, she's far too..something, I'm not sure. It's hard to describe exactly what it is I want to see, but I know it myself as the Dark Lady. Anyhow, enough rambling.”
“I absolutely adore this book. Nevermore is one of the most beautiful inventions I've run into, and if such a thing were to exist in reality I know I would leap lovingly into its shining embrace”
“Valiant is my favorite of the series. I wish Holly Black would continue the story of Val and the troll. I thought it was an excellent read.”
“I HATED this book. Which blows my mind because I loved Tithe and Ironside. I dont know what it was but i wanted to start punching someone in the face once I read it. Its not very often I stop reading a book even if I dont like it because I wanna know how it ends, but I stopped reading this one. Thats your clue right there. ”
“I loved Valiant, it may have even beaten Tithe. I can't wait to read Ironside.”
“Valiant, imho, is the best of Holly Black's A Modern Tale of Faerie companion books. Tithe and Ironside went together and tied up loose ends. As far as Valiant (and I'm trying hard not to give anything away) there are loose ends with Val. Does anyone know if she's writing another book to include Val and you know who? (These pages post to people that have them on their TBR list and I don't want to ruin anything-but you knew that!) Thanks!”
“I enjoyed this book. A different take on the fairy realm, very updated. I enjoyed the story.”
“it's a sequel, I guess, but it's better than the first,”
“Interesting twist to "Tithe" and much more urban and real. Inventive love story as well. ”
