“Keeping in mind that this book was written for young readers, I still found it only OK. I thought Bella was kind of clingy and irrational; not a strong character at all. Edward was pretty sexy, dark and brooding, but it was too much like Bella was enthralled and not really in love.”

“Meyer does an excellent job of reinterpreting the vampire in this series. I was a little worried that Bella's clumsiness was going to be used to keep her the damsel in distress the whole time, but she handled that nicely as well. I can certainly see why countless teenage girls are swooning over these characters. ”

“i can see why teenagers love this. Even though it is simple, the characters are well written and fascinating. its not filled with sex or gore, which is great and its not a scary story! the way its written- makes things seems plausible -which good fantasy should do! ”
