“You can't compare Twilight to Harry Potter. Harry Potter is a classic. It has an overall moral message that goes far beyond a simple battle of good and evil, and the writer herself, JK Rowling, has developed a unique writing voice. While yes, Stephanie Meyer had a good plot idea for a story that would be engaging for a certain audience, in a literary sense, her writing is frankly unsophisticated an completely generic. In no way does the Twilight saga "rise above" Harry Potter in any way.”

“all teen girls who love this, read the anne rice novels or something OTHER than what's in the teen section of the bookstore and then give yourself a year or two. then actually take everything about what you will know about good literature by then and apply it to twilight.
