Jonah Goldberg's book "Liberal Fascism" is long overdue. This should be evident to anyone who rejects the party line of the reigning collectivist orthodoxy in America. Such a person will have had the experience of being labeled a "reactionary" or an "ultra-conservative" and of being informed that...

The book suposes that the history of current US libralism is based upon fascist roots. The argument is convoluted and one sided to say the least including claims that Nixon, McCarthy, and both Bush presidents were actually liberal. He starts by putting forward his own defintion of fascism and...

I am, of coure, conservative so I looooooved this book. I highly recommend everyone read the chapter on Hillary Clinton and also the Afterword. There are some crazies out there and we need to protect our freedoms from even those with "good intetions" who would take away those freedoms in the name of "taking care" of everyone. May the Constitution hold strong.

Everything you ever wanted to know about fascism. Jonah Goldberg takes on the myth of the political spectrum that fascism is on the far right. He lays down details of what fascism is, and shows through history how many on the right have practiced it.

Shows, among other things, how the Soviets masterminded the identification of Fascism as right-Wing instead of the the radical leftist movement it is.

The book suposes that the history of current US libralism is based upon fascist roots. The argument is convoluted and one sided to say the least including claims that Nixon, McCarthy, and both Bush presidents were actually liberal. He starts by putting forward his own defintion of fascism and that may be the basic problem. In one instance he uses the Dead Poets Society to show fascist idealogy in Hollywood pictures. The biggest problem for this example is that he portrays the kids seeking individuality as the fascists and the existing authorities as the opposite. Most people would interpret it as the authorities are the fascist and the children trying to get out from their oppression as the opposite. Jonah never sees nor comments on this fundamental contrradiction.

Excellent, though intellectually challenging, read. Really forces you to think and examine your own political foundations and beliefs. Not a book you can "kick back and relax" with, but an absolutely essential book. It is certainly worth the effort.

Fantastic update of the Road to Serfdom, tackling with intelligence the policies of Woodrow Wilson, FDR, Lyndon B. Johnson, Hillary Clinton and more.

Very informative... intensely eye opening, although at times it is a bit partisan

The left hates it, as they like to make conservatives out to be the takers of Freedom. They can't, thankfully, change the record. Yet. History shows it is the left, usually with what are thought of as 'Good Intentions', who start us down the road to hell.
