It takes a grand total of four sentences to fall in love with Charlie Asher, who has just become my favorite Christopher Moore character. (I still love you Tucker, just not quite as much as Charlie!)...” see full review » see other reviews » |
“Another fun read from Christopher Moore. I love his books and this one did not disappoint me.
Charlie Asher is the hero here, and finds himself with a new, interesting job after his wife dies.
Filled with laughs, action, scares and love, this book makes for a great Saturday break.”
“Funny. Gets a bit silly at the end and had a bit of trouble suspending disbelief.”

It's dark, funny, and has just the right amount of sarcasm for older readers. I wouldn't reccommend it for younger readers though, it can get a bit indulgent in the cursing department.”

This is probably my favorite of the author's books and Charley, his protagonist, is one of my favorite characters of all time.”
