“I loved this book! I was yanked in from page one on a ride that I did not want to end. I am wondering why I had not read this book earlier as I have loved the movie for years. The book makes the film, while brilliant, look like a cartoon. I loved the character based stories, each voice distinctive, written in a Scottish dialect. Riotously funny, heart-wrenching, frightening, and brutal. Not for lightweights. I found myself either laughing out loud or wiping away tears or turning pages ferociously wondering what next! This book is definitely in my top five favorites. The rush I feel from this book today makes it #1! Hungry for more Irvine Welsh!”

“a bit difficult to start off (what with the broad scottish accent), but once used to it, totally amazing. it's character-based instead of narrative-based, and i love that.”
