What a pleasure to read Highland Wishes. Not only was it a lovely, long historical--and how many long historicals are out there--but the romance intertwined with history was enjoyable as well.
The heroine, Victoria, and the hero, Grant, are two characters that you come to like. She's English, he's a Scot, and it's a troubled time between the two nations. Still, you know Grant and Victoria belong together. How they come together, fall in love and triumph over their common enemies is what makes Ms Burroughs story so well thought out.

Excellent Debut Novel. I ordered this book after watching the video trailer on Youtube. I liked it so much I ended up ordering the next book in the series. Ms. Burroughs puts her heart into the novel, very old-fashioned in flavour so might not please all, but those was more of a saga feel to their books this is worth the time. Enjoyed Her Highland Rogue even more.

Highland Wishes is the first book of two, and, I hope many more historical novels set in Scotland by Leanne Burroughs. The hero (Grant Drummond) and heroine (Tory Blackstone) belong together and I couldn't help but root for their HEA right from the very beginning. Grant is the gruff, alpha male but he can't resist the kind-hearted Tory, his match in every way. I loved this book--its heart and soul stayed with me many days after I finished it. I highly recommend Highland Wishes to anyone who loves classic historical romance.
