In this last segment to The Underland Chronicles, according to Bartholomew of Sandwich's prophecy, there is to be a horrible war in the Underland. Creatures turning on one another, Gregor occupied with the responsibility of not only keeping himself alive, but keeping his family from harm also, while facing the horrifying prospect of dying all around; that there is a chance of his own death, a good chance. Gregor has never had to face this sort of thing in the Overland. With one horrible turn of events after another, the question remains: Can there be peace for this world, and most of all, can Regalia and it's inhabitants change their outlooks for good?
This book, by far the most heart-wrenching of them all, made me cry uncontrollably for the last few chapters. Don't say I didn't warn you. The ending is completely fitting and good, but I just about snapped in the last section of this book. I love this series, and am very sorry to have finished it.

In the last stunning installment to the great series, Gregor finds out the horrible truth to the Prophecy of Time. In the prophecy the warrior must fulfill his role and die. And Gregor is the warrior.

Not as good as the other books. Also, I just didn't want it to end.

A great series. I love how it was all written in first person. It had a good message about war. I was not a huge fan of the ending
