Description

This is a selection of poetry by the poet Thomas Gray, who wrote "The Progress of Poesy" and "The Bard". Born in London in 1716, he lived for most of life in Cambridge, where he was an esteemed classical scholar. His reputations was made with "Elegy Written in a Country Churchyard".
