“Quite entertaining, even though I expected much more from it - it might have used a bit more descriptions.
Darcy and Elizabeth are as charming as ever, while zombies are a funny addition. ”
“Uproarious. As a huge Jane Austen fan, seeing this cover for the first time on a Walmart bargain shelf almost had me in tears laughing so hard. Only the purist Austenians can deny this book, though I for one thoroughly enjoy parodies of my favorite classics. Wonderfully illustrated, written in the style of Austen, I think she would've enjoyed this herself. ”H.L.P. Ms Nose In A Book wrote this review Thursday, January 3, 2013. “The two stars are only for Jane Austen's writing. The "additional" writing was designed for cheap groans. It often did not flow and it changed the personality of several characters. I like a good zombie story, but this wasn't it. I'll stick with the original.”EB wrote this review Saturday, December 29, 2012. ( reply | permalink ) Was this review helpful? Yes | No
“I loved this book. Couldn't read the actual Pride and Prejudice though. Maybe I should give it another chance. ”Jaime Harguess wrote this review Saturday, December 8, 2012. ( reply | permalink ) Was this review helpful? Yes | No

“I feel a bit like an idiot for purchasing this book and expecting an exciting zombie thriller. I should have investigated - or just thought about it a little more and realized that this is a spin off on Pride and Predjudice (DUH!!!) and not a stand alone book. I have never read or watched Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. I was not very familiar with the characters or the original story line - other than what i have heard from others over the years. I imagine that if i had read the original story (without the zombies) i would have found this book significantly more humorous and enjoyable. Perhaps if i ever do read the original, i will come back to this book and give it another try! ”Ginger3.14 wrote this review Tuesday, November 20, 2012. ( reply | permalink ) Was this review helpful? “Iv acctually never read the original work, however when everyother word you insert into the original is "Deadly arts" its gonna get old fast. I enjoyed the primus, and the battles where cool, but saying "The Deadly Arts" at least 4 times on a page ruined it for me. I really wish I could have enjoyed it more, it had great potental.”Toni Lynn Aaron wrote this review Thursday, November 15, 2012. ( reply | permalink ) Was this review helpful? Yes | No
“The book Pride and Prejudice and Zombies is a spoof on the original book Prode and Prejudice. It takes place during a zombie apocalypse where the characters all have to go against the way they were in the original book.”Jean R wrote this review Wednesday, October 31, 2012. “Decent, an interesting take on Austen's classic. I feel that we lost the entire zombie issue toward the end. I had hoped for some 'serum' or solution to the zombies.
Liked the entire Charlotte-becoming-a-zombie element.”
