“Yep, same ed., Shelfari, good deal.
Another German author; like Marcus Aurelius, I am hip deep in Germans lately. Though the book takes "place" in England, place being a shifting, relative term. I like it so far, very erudite German, Herr Sebald, and the book is like the rings of Saturn, fragments generally going in the same direction accreting together into a journey. Yeah, that is the key word with this Sebald novel: accretion. Sebald is on a walking tour, and we meet various English eccentrics and shades, as well a shades from Sebald's life.
Two thirds through this one, and unless it goes seriously awry before the end, I will be seeking out Herr Sebald's other scribblings.”
