“Lives up to the rave reviews. Relatively little time spent on the battle itself, but much detail -- surprisingly, fascinating in almost all cases -- that enriches what comes before and after. Barker, though obviously adept at research and academic interpretation, also writes in the most accessible way. A terric read for anyone interested in medieval history, military strategy, Henry V.”
