P.S. I Love You was a good idea. It was a good story. However, the writing was terrible! Her word choice was boring, the characters weren't developed, the conversations weren't realistic, and it was contradicting ("Holly had moments of happiness... Holly was never happy... Holly laughed so hard her stomach hurt... Holly couldn't remember the last time she laughed so hard her stomach hurt...) But what bothered me the most was how she would show us something and tell us the exact same thing in...

I hated Ahern's style of writing. She was very repetitive and dragged on with a lot. I noticed a pattern. At the end of about every chapter Holly would describe how much she missed Gerry, which I understand, I mean he died, but still I understood and didn't need to be told this over and over again. To tell you the truth, I think the only reason this book got published was because Ahern is the daughter of the Prime Minister of Ireland. On thing I will admit is that I enjoyed the storyline, I just wish it was followed out by another author.

The movie too much different from the book. It also killed the pictures I had in mind about the 'cuteness' of the characters - and I don't see it the way the movie director did, at all. It attempts too much to be hilarious, but failed to shine or to stress elements of friendships and exploration of new life by Holly.

“I loved reading this book. I cryed all the way through it. But I was very disappointed at the end. In my head this book was a five star book, until the ending. And sad to say I had to give it a four stars. Can't wait to see the movie, even though I know I will be disappointed again. ”
