• Chase Logan: Cowhand who worked with Jessie's husband Nathan and brings her the news of his death
• Sarah: 3 yr old who Jessie and Nathan were going to adopt to rescue her from the same orphanage Jessie was in
• Gabe Garrison: 13 yr boy Mr. Hobbs brings along when he comes to drop off Sarah and asks Jessie to adopt him also
• Mrs. Hollyhock: Owns the general store in town
• Jake lope: 15 yr old boy who hires himself out to various people in town to get by, befriends Gabe
• Nathan Strong: Older cowhand who marries Jessie then stays away most of the time hiring out for other ranchers
