Didn’t Like It“I've tried to get into this book but I can't keep the charaters straight and can't figure out where she is going in the story. I loved her other books but this one... not so much. I'm going to put it aside for a while.....” see full review » see other reviews » |
“Secrets weave themselves through this novel, a dense story with a few complicated subplots. One character seems to see more than others. A good read.”

I would have quit after a hundred pages if not for the fact that I was the one who got my book club to read it. My opinion did not change after finishing it.”

not sure i would recommend it. it was oK.”
“Not my favorite book, that's for sure! It started off very slow and I was unsure about even finishing it. Around page 107 it got interesting enough to continue but ultimately I wish I has used my time reading something else. Disappointing.”

I recommend any of her books -- loved Zippy and She Got up off the Couch especially -- laughed out loud several times. ”

In my opinion she's an artist of a story teller - the feeling she weaves you around her characters and settings are almost magical. At first it seems a bit confusing with all of the characters, but eventually they flesh out and you find yourself very interested in what happens to them. This is the story of three very different women who form a family bond. They also all work together at a junk emporium - my telling of the plot doesn't do it any justice - just read it!”
