“Not a bad book, slow at times. There isn't much history given for Mary Magdalene's life before Jesus came into it so the author had a lot of room for imagination. It has been while since I read it so I am not sure if the theology that surrounds it is remotely accurate. If you like historical fiction is a decent read.”

“Good read, but LONG! The author did a lot of research and was able to weave fiction into non-fiction. Made places we've heard about in Bible come to life.”

“This is a very compelling story. In our culture we hardly consider this part of history, and its day-to-day. I liked the writing, and really liked the historical aspects of this novel. Filling in the blanks is sometimes what we need in fiction.”

“I LOVED IT! I thoroughly enjoyed this novel. The author did an excellent job fleshing out the paltry history available using time honored legends as well as a rich imagination. The story manages to challenge theological stereotypes without ever actually undermining the foundational priniciples of the biblical story. I recommend this novel for anytone that enjoys historical or biblical fiction. Even if the reader is not Christian, I am sure they would enjoy the story.”
