The last in the trilogy and it's really non stop action from cover to cover. I could hardly put this one down, even more so than the other two. The twists and turns that it takes are amazing and Larsson really wraps up all the loose ends nicely. So sad that we won't be seeing any more books from him. :(

I really enjoyed these three novels in this series - I only hope the fourth one will be released too.

Completion of this triology was achieved when travelling to EMEA over the last 2 weeks. Stieg's story matures as we progress into the 3rd book & is more coherent & engaging than the previous 2 books. It's truly unfortunate that we will never have any more books from this author. Recommend that all three books be read sequentially. On a side note the movie from the first book hardly lives upto the gripping ability of the book. Yet to see the next effort on that front.

Book Review April 15: Page 743 - The final book in the series and the conclusion to the Salander story. The trial to determine Salander's crimes is conducted and she is allowed to live her free life. It is a pretty satisfying end to the series as all knots are tied. Blomkvist redeems himself as a friend to Salander and in in the eyes of society she is socially accepted. The Sapo police are finally silenced and sentenced for all the crimes that they have committed against Salander and the country. This story gives the reader the satisfaction of knowing that Salander's life is finally at peace and that she regains the friendship with Blomkvist. Over the course of the series I have really gotten to enjoy Blomkvist as a character but I also enjoy Salander's character. She is very much different than Blomkvist and gets by certain obstacles in her own interesting way. She is very as socially awkward and mentally disabled in public but she anything but that. She is very intelligent despite not finishing high school education. She is an avid hacker and a skilled one plus she is very good and problem solving. She and Blomkvist make an excellent team when it comes to investigation which adds to the friendship theme of the story. She is also very capable of herself in any situation. She is a small thin girl but still manages to take out two burly bikers with only a can of mace. This story was very good at keeping the suspense from the previous two books but with more events and twists for the reader to anticipate as the story continues. Those that were viewed as bad receive punishment in some form and in the view of Salander it is morally correct.

Just as good as the first two books in the trilogy. I can't believe I waited this long to download to my kindle.
