It is about a man who goes on the Crusades in the Middle Ages and has many excitinadventures. If you are a good reader (it is long)and you like historical action books, you will love this. It is one of my favorite books, and my husband's too. I have read it four times! Louis L'Amour is known for his westerns, but he really shines in this book.”

If you think he only knows how to write about the American West, this is for you. It's now the dark ages in northern Europe. Of course, some things never change, including honor, courage, power trips, greed . . . the Europeans brought it all with them when they came to North America.”
