Either my favorite or my second favorite in the whole series. Jean Claude's great but, Good Golly Miss Molly, I think if Richard were real I'd follow him around like a puppy (PUN!!). Or maybe I'd make him follow me. That idea has its merits, too.

Richard is accused of rape and is sitting in jail 5 days before the blue moon when Anita gets a call from his younger brother, begging her to help him. Richard? Accused of rape? Yes, you are thinking the same as I am. He didn't do it.

Anita is about ready to head to the small town in Tennessee when Jean Claude just happens to show up. She has been denied entrance into that small down by Colin, Master of the City. What to do, what to do? Go anyway, of course!

I think you all know how much I have like the previous books, so it should not come as a complete shock that I loved this one as well. And you should also know, I am on the JC bandwagon, not really a Richard girl. But I have to say, I loved seeing Richard in this one and I loved the tension between the two. More over, I loved how they were there for each other no matter how much anger was between them.

I was wondering when Anita would really start to act like apart of the pack and pard, not protective wise, since we all know she will do that, but actually start to go further than that.

After reading Anita up to this book I have really found a lot of character development for Anita and other main characters. I have to say it is a refreshing thing. Most series, going on books closer to the double digits, start to lose the character development and advancement. They are frozen in time, as if nothing that happened before had no affect. Way to go LKH!

This was the last book in the series I liked. If only she had stopped here.

I really enjoyed this book. I was a little worried with the way the series seemed to be turning, but I feel like it is back to what I liked about the series in the first place.

I think MS BLAKE is getting a taste of what she's missing out on. Not to mention I think its all coming back to her. She found Richard to be a monster, and now she is becoming everything she feared and more. TWO THUMBS UP. I love it, a page turner till the last.
