Liked It“Okay, so I like Micah, I do, but this one fell short of most of the others in the series. Micah's almost surreal and I don't mean because of his animal nature. He's a good match for Anita but, in my opinion, that's very nearly a bad thing. A whole book devoted to their relationship? Hrmph.” see full review » see other reviews » |
Didn’t Like It2 of 2 members found this review helpful“Forget, for a moment, that this "book" has a super enlarged font, huge margins, and is still on the short side of novel length. Forget that you paid around eight bucks for something that could have sufficed as a couple of chapters in a real novel; we all did that to meet page requirements in...” see full review » see other reviews » |

I did like this one. Not much happened, no crime scene, just a zombie to raise. Oh, that zombie blamed the lawyer for his death and Anita couldn't control it. That zombie also revealed that the lawyer set him up. It was alot of drama in one sitting, but it was great not to have it stretched out. It made a great shorter story than what we are used to. Bad lawyer, no cookie.
I was excited to see Micah and Anita get some alone time, even if we didn't get much of it. Micah is a great character and I love him in Anita's life.”
“Micah's story. An out of town Animating trip just can't go as planned, can it?”

Micah is NOT my fave, but I have to get past him to get to the rest.
I did not like it, very short but boring. I just don't like Micah's character, I don't get any vibe whatsoever as to strength leadership nothing, I just see him as mush.
Anita's anger is reeeeeally starting to get on my nerves, it's very old now. The plot was almost none exsistant, it seemed that the whole purpose of the book was to show that Anita has several strains of shifter blood running through her veins...whipdeedo.”
“I am loving the Anita Blake Series. I really enjoyed Micah, but it should not have ever been a book, but rather several chapters in another book. I still enjoyed it thought.
Even though I know that Micah and Anita have this special other worldly connection with their beast... I'm partial to Jean-Claude and really want to see their love blossom to real love and not shared with everyone else.”
“It didn't fit with the series and was pointless.”

However at the same time I dislike it because you dont get to see all the other characters that one grows to love.”
