  I think, since it was by Laurell K Hamilton I kinda had high expectations for it. I mean, the writing was good and all but the plot wasnt "thick" enough for me. At times, the magical mumbo-jumbo got a tad bit corny. I liked it at the beginning but the plot sort of dragged on and it took me forever to finish this book. The ending was good, though. Still, I wont be continuing the series. I havent read her other work yet but if you want fantasy/paranormal, Ive heard her other work is better.”
