“ Lovecraft has no idea of character development or even storytelling in the traditional sense. His stories mostly involve developing an alternative history of human events involving alien gods and an unknown reality inexplicable to humans. Once you know this many of his stories can seem repetitious but they have had a huge influence on horror fiction and pop culture which makes them still endlessly facinating. Still I wish Lovecraft had some idea of real human feelings and emotions like his idol Poe or his most famous decendent King. ”
