“Again, does anyone else feel like these characters are too young to be thinking about sex? ”Sandra D wrote this review Tuesday, July 23, 2013. ( reply | permalink ) Was this review helpful? Yes | No
“Some of the actions of the characters here are just unrealistic. For instance Nora is supposed to be a super smart 16 year old girl who is always on the straight and narrow. Then she suddenly starts acting like a cheesy reporter for her high school news paper. Asking stupid questions to another unrealistic waitress who is forcing her to buy everything on the menu so she can get a bigger tip. She's taking the bus (because she doesn't want her mom to see the miles on her car) out several city's to "ask around" about some kid she has a bad feeling about? Then gets off the bus and walks into a bad neighborhood that she was warned about several times to go to a party to "save" her friend. I mean come on use that brain of your Nora! Responsible people usually due responsible things. That's why they're called responsible people.
I rolled my eyes several time during this reading and the only reason i was intrigued is because I wanted to know what was up with Patch.
With that being said I enjoyed the idea of Patch being this fallen angel with his wings torn from his body never being able to experience one of our five senses. I of course am the completest so i have every intention of completing the series.”

“This is a "good girl falls for bad boy" storyline with some twists and turns. There is lots of sexual tension, but the teens make good choices or are interrupted before much more than heavy kissing and petting take place. The bad boy tends to be a "good boy" with old fashioned manners when needed. This book has mystery and action and the plot flows well. My teen loved the book--said it was so much better than Twilight or other comparable series. The main character is disciplined in her studies and focused on her future, although her attraction to the bad boy at the beginning makes one wonder about the characters. Their better selves are revealed through the series, but at first, I wondered about the "message" it delivered to young people. That is why I am giving it four rather than five stars.”bklvr2 wrote this review Thursday, June 20, 2013. ( reply | permalink ) Was this review helpful? Yes | No
