    Good book.

Although I don't really agree with its religious bent (me being Christian Protestant), it's still a good story of love.

I don't feel that this book is as strong as "The Devil and Miss Prym"(TDMP). As an atheist I found messages in "TDMP" that were still poignant for me. A message for the non-faithful didn't really exist in this book. It is all about faith, faith in the Holy Mother (the Goddess) and in the Holy Spirit. The story was still infinitely readable, but not as moving to me. As a footnote, I must say that Paulo Coelho's women characters are superb and complex. If I read this book without knowing the author's gender I would have thought this to be written by a woman; and I mean this both as a compliment, and as praise for his prose.

Deeply philosophical. The concept of "the other" is riveting. Read it to know what i'm talking about..

"There are something in life that are worth fighting for to the end"- This was the most stunning sentence and the situvation which it happend is most amazing. A truely amazing book, which contains a brief narration of how you should live your life in a most worthful way

I really liked this book. I like what the author had to say about love. But of course, nothing compared to The Alchemist.
