God is the same, even though He has a thousand names; it is up to us to select a name for Him....

Except for the ending that was a little disappointing, I still consider the book as a great read.

Awsome..... I have started reading PAulo COelho few months back only, finished The Alchemist, Veronika and Eleven minutes....as I am finishing the books one by one, I think I am getting addicted to his way of writing. Just finished this book "By the river..." today....I think its the best one I have read till now....after coming to the end of each story it leaves a very calm effect on the heart, full of joy and completeness....it seems that the way author has come to the climax is the way it has to be...nothing else could have been a better "the end".... it almost like "the beginning" after I finished each story....may be I can say, I am loving Paulo's writing because each of his story teaches us good lessons to be learnt from our life....the illuminating part of the life ..
I must suggest this book to be read by all who are in LOVE , who are in search of true LOVE and also all who think that they have lost their true LOVE long back....

because it says, love is everywhere and we have to just stretch our arms to welcome those magic moments in our lives...even it takes a day, a week or years to come in...
