I would say as a catholic who's always questioning the conventional norm of the religious institution, as well as seeking to understand human relationship, this book (as well as The Witch of Portobello) helped me understand more about the connection between spirituality and human relationship. I felt a fervent need to kneel and pray after reading the book. To me, most of Paulo Coelho's book always gives me hope for humanity and I wish a lot of people can connect to the underlying messages in all his books. I know I do. He is one of the few people whose books always strike a chord in me and I reflect on his words constantly.

By the way, I just want to go on record that I do not subscribe to the story's belief in a feminine God.

there's always that chill that u get at ur spine when the writer is asking a questions that shouldn't b asked ... but there is always that dreamy smile as romance blooms in a usual way between an unususal couple ...and of coure there's the thrill that goes like electricity in ur blood when the forbidden questions r answered

Wonderfully insightful book....and I had an aha moment about the many mansions idea from the Bible - how it connects with many paths. Thank you Paulo for another masterpiece!!!
