“I was fined for returning this book late! I don't know why I took so long to finish it. Perhaps owing to my past experience with Coelho's works, I was trying so hard not to be skeptical. Hence, everytime I read it, I had to brush off my negative feeling towards this author.
Eleven Minutes major storyline surrounds one's search of her own sexuality. She had succumbed to the easy money offered in prostitution profession, simply because her original plan of becoming a star, failed. She couldn't stand the loneliness, and prostitution was her way of 'separating her soul' from her body. Duh!
That reminded me to what Siti Raudah said about Coelho's perception on loneliness - that human beings can survive hunger and poverty but not loneliness! Again, DUH!!”
