From the Japanese Poe, these tales of mystery and horror are brilliantly put together, and just as shocking now as they must have been when they were written.

Didn’t Like It

I picked this up because I was intrigued to learn the author gave himself the pen name Edogawa Rampo as a tribute to Edgar Allan Poe, whose detective stories he greatly admired. And then I started reading — and remembered I never really cared for the *detective* stories of Edgar Allan Poe. So maybe this will be your cup of tea?
