by Dame Agatha Christie

It's Agatha Christie at her best as a weekend house party becomes a crime scene for special guest Hercule Poirot. (read review)

This is the Christie that Michel Houllebecq felt was so sublime...lots of stream-of-consciousness, relatively, but all the country house plots points are in place, as is Hercule Poirot. I think if I have missed any Christies, they are probably Poirots. Published in 1946, this book does not exist at any specific point in time -- and interesting choice. NOT a Tommy and Tuppence, or even a Miss Marple, but quite good.
