I loved her first book The Historian. It is one of my top ten. I am curious if The Swan Thieves has the same depth and beauty.
Have not read The Historian. I was engaged the whole book. I did find the male main character sort of constantly thinking about women - maybe you can give your input as a man on whether the author (female) is believable in a man's voice. Some of the storyline was a bit of a reach for me to buy into but overall I enjoyed it and would recommend. Let me know if you get to it. Would love to hear what someone else thinks about it...
Thanks. I appreciate your response. Sounds like a possible summer read. Her men characters were very believable in The Historian. I am interested in comparing the writing style and seeing how she developes her characters in The Swan Thieves. The male main character sounds disappointing. I am glad you were engaged the whole book, it must have had a good/compelling story. When I read it, I will let you know what I think.
The few reviews I have read for Swan Thieves - most said not near as good as The Historian.
