“Much better than I thought it would be at the beginning. Really well written. A great followup book to read after the Omivore's Dilemma (which I just finished last month). It is sad and terrible sometimes to read about and be connected to the cycle of life and death, success and loss that runs the human condition. I cried when some of the animals were killed. I'm not sure I could kill my own animals, ever, but I appreciate knowing more about the animals that die to feed me, all the same.”
