  • Magda: Magda is described as being very beautiful and the envy of many girls. 'Perfect' Magda has long blonde hair and pale eyes. She is a very good girl, looking after her siblings and going to Church. Best friends with Tess, is in Year 10 and likes butterflies.
  • Carly: Carly is an eighth grader eager to fit in and have friends.
  • Joanne: Aka: Jo. She is a tomboy and likes to hang out with guys. In Year 9, Jo hangs out with Magda and Tess. She has brown hair dark eyes and is quite tall. A Traveller girl.
  • Tess Lovett: A true traveller girl, Tess has no care for rules. Said to be 'Pure trouble with a capital T' Tess doesn't live with her father and is palmed off to different relatives by her father whom she gets her penchant for rule breaking from. Pretty with dark eyes and always skipping school. Best friends with Magda.
  • Gwen: Has long reddish hair. A Traveller, get very good grades in school and works at Bluewater.
  • Mark Swayland: Called an 'old letch' the boss/owner of Bluewater (The local Swimming Pool) Father of 'Seb' Sebastian.
  • Sebastian 'Seb' Swayland: Not a traveller. Very good looking, and rich. Lives on the 'nice side of town' Falls for Magda. Has piercing blue eyes.
  • Reenie Lovett: Tess' aunt, the person she stays with while in Accleton. Often comes to blows with Tess as she believes Tess is quite
  • Charmaine: Co-worker of Gwen at Blue Water.
  • Gabriella: Sebastians Mother. Spanish and likes to paint.
  • Jaycee: Works at Bluewater.
  • Kieran Lovett: Tess' Father. A Traveller but not a great role model.
