“For literature considered a classic, it sure reads a lot like a seamy paperback romance in parts. However, I have to give Burroughs credit for a unique story engagingly told, regardless of its unnecessary frustrations. The ending--ughh--entirely unappealing yet not unexpected. I hope for more, but I'm glad I read it.”
