The bible for corporate strategy. Full of enough buzzwords to keep any consultant or MBA student enthralled. But still, an important contribution to the field. Michael Porter has real business insight.

I'd read enough summaries to get the gist, but nice to see the source text for itself. Read the first 100 pages only.

Classic marketing strategy book. When I left marketing I gave away to the library but did own at one time. If you are in marketing, a must read.

This is an excellent book in developing a framework for analyzing businesses across industries and how one can, given company resources, product profile, etc., identify how to position oneself. The framework allows one to see whether an industry is emerging or dying, whether it is easy to enter or leave an industry, what size a company should be in order to survive, etc.
