“I thought the story in this book was really interesting. I thought there were some good twists and turns in there. It seems fairly typical for John Saul, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. I'm on quite the Saul kick right now, and this one didn't disappoint me.”

“A few four letter word, but the story was thrilling, non stop action, and twisting plots. A excellent story, of course by the wonderful John Saul.”

The characters are so superficial and it is so simple to read. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants just a mind-numbing read that they don't have to fully concentrate on!”

1 of 1 members found this review helpful“This is the most amazing book I ever read. It's actually the first one of John Saul's that I did read. I read it back in August of 2003 and still use it as a measure for all-time great books. I couldn't put it down! When I did (because I do work and sleep), it was still on my mind. It amazes me how John could come up with such an unusual story line that kept my interest all through even the creepy, grossest parts. It was so suspensful and intriguing. It deals with our justice system, the homeless, and was thought provoking as well which makes this is one of the best creepiest books I've read. If you like suspense and can stand some grossness, this is a must read! Karen Arlettaz Zemek, Author of "My Funny Dad, Harry"”
